2024 OBRT Annual Meeting

ICYMI: A Recap of Our Annual Meeting: Fueling the Future

As always, the Annual Meeting provides an opportunity to tell our members about everything OBRT has accomplished throughout the year. This year we featured the video above to highlight our 2024 accomplishments.

Our Annual Member Meeting was a tremendous success, bringing together 64 CEOs for a dynamic and engaging event. This year’s theme, Fueling the Future, centered around the collaborative efforts needed to ensure Ohio has the capacity to power continued economic development. The meeting offered a valuable platform for networking, sharing insights, and discussing ways to drive innovation and growth in the state.

We hosted a CEO energy panel featuring John Warner of McKinsey, Jim Burke of Vistra Corp, Ben Fowke of AEP, and Claudio Ingaramo of Cenovus Energy. These industry leaders shared valuable insights on the challenges of energy resource adequacy, sparking an engaging discussion with the audience.

We were honored to have both Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted in attendance. A truly special moment came when we surprised the Governor with the George Voinovich Partnership for a Prosperous Ohio Award, recognizing his exceptional leadership and commitment to the state's economic growth and prosperity. It was a fitting tribute to his efforts in fueling Ohio's future.

The legislative reception was another highlight, drawing a great crowd and fostering meaningful interactions between our members and key policymakers. We are thrilled with the turnout and the energy that everyone brought to the event.

The evening was highlighted by a powerful fireside chat featuring our Chairman, Chris Gorman, Chairman and CEO of KeyCorp and Larry Culp, Chairman and CEO of GE Aerospace, whose insights on leadership, innovation, and navigating today’s business challenges sparked a lively discussion.

Thank you again to everyone who was able to join us. Please mark your calendars for next year's Annual Meeting which will be October 28-29 (location TBD).
