John is a Senior Partner with McKinsey & Company and is the co-Leader of the firm’s Global Energy and Materials Practice.

John focuses his client efforts on fundamentally improving the performance trajectory of leading-edge companies. Specific areas include: corporate strategy and finance, marketing and sales, operations, organization efficiency/ effectiveness, and change management.

John has a passion for Ohio and has led many high-impact initiatives with the business community on economic development, healthcare, and education.

John has been a member of the Ohio Business Roundtable Executive Committee since 2007 and has played a role in the Roundtable’s initiatives in education, healthcare, fiscal policy, and energy. He was the Chairman of the OBRT from 2017-2019.

Prior to McKinsey, John was a Financial Analyst at General Electric. He is a graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program. John has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics from the College of William and Mary.
