Jim was named chairman of the Board of Directors in January 2003 and chief executive officer in May 2001. He served as president from May 2001 to December 2005 and from November 2006 to October 2008. He is a graduate of The Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program and holds a degree in aeronautical science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, where he is a member of the Board of Trustees. In addition, he is associate trustee of the North Shore Hospital in Manhasset, N.Y.; chairman of the board for the Farms for City Kids Foundation, Inc. in Reading, Vt.; board member for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Foundation; and trustee at the Intrepid Foundation. Jim also served as board member for Nurse-Family Partnership and as co-chairman of the National Fund for the U.S. Botanic Garden in Washington, D.C.
