As the President and CEO of CareSource since its 1989 inception, Pam Morris is focused on helping women and children survive and thrive. With more than 30 years of executive-level experience in managed health care and the public sector, she was also CareSource’s first employee. The company now boasts more than 1,300 employees - with approximately 1,000 of those based at its headquarters in downtown Dayton. Not only does her company contribute millions of dollars to the local tax base, but also to our local health, human services, education and arts communities.
Pam's values are reflected in the generosity, sensitivity and advocacy of both her employees and those with whom she works on community issues. She leads by example and believes in cultivating a high-performing culture where all people can realize their full potential.
Through a personal mission to start a health foundation, Pam launched the CareSource Foundation in 2006. The resulting investments and partnerships have impacted vital issues such as children’s health, hunger, domestic violence, homelessness, elder issues, child abuse, and the uninsured.
In addition to being a 2007 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year®, Morris and her executive team were named the Top Leadership Team in Healthcare for health plans in 2008 by HealthLeaders Media. She serves on the Board of Trustees for the Dayton Development Coalition, is a member of the Montgomery County Human Services Levy Council and Chairs the United Way of the Greater Dayton Area and Hospice of Dayton Boards. Morris earned a bachelor of arts from West Virginia University.
